Some people say that too much water is wasted in Japan. Do you agree with this opinion?

Indeed, I hear many people say that Japanese consume more water than they should.

My children are not exception. They spend very long time just washing their hair while leaving water running.

Historically speaking, Japan has been blessed with plenty of water anytime, anywhere, which makes Japanese less interested in saving water.

No, I don’t think too much water is wasted in Japan.

Japanese society is occupied with greater percentage of elderly people. Majority of them experienced the post-war period where there was not enough food and water.

They grew up being told that saving is a virtue and luxury is an enemy.

Their sense of values  must  still be alive today.

If they can teach the younger generation the importance of saving water, we will not be criticised as a water waster.
